Located on the GR10, this hike will take you to Mount Ceint, also called the Girantès peak, passing through the port of Saleix, a real anchor point between the valleys of Couserans and Vicdessos.

ROAD ACCESS:
In the village of Aulus-les-Bains, take the direction of Port de l'Hers on the D8f road. After several switchbacks and a straight line, arrive at the car park, a place called "Coumebière". A hiking sign marks the start.

1 - DEPARTURE

The climb will take place on the gr10 (red and white markings) towards the Port of Saleix. Cross the Coumebière plateau (summer).

2 - INTERSECTION GR10 / LABANT POND

Turn left at the intersection and continue on the GR10, still on the summer pasture before entering a glade. Continue on the GR10 to the Port of Saleix.

3 - PORT OF SALEIX

At the port of Saleix, leave the GR10 and turn left. From the start, the slope will become steeper. Stay on the path along the ridge to the top of Mount Ceint.

4 - SUMMIT OF MONT CEINT

You have reached the top! The return takes the same route to the car park.
