Ski-joering has its little history in the mountains, and it is not new! Indeed, from the beginning of the XNUMXth century, ski-joering became a fashionable leisure activity in Switzerland, driven by the British, undisputed fans of equestrian sports, for which harness ski races were organized!
In France, horses were also used from the rise of ski resorts, before the appearance of ski lifts to tow skiers up the slopes!
In Ariège, in the cradle of the Mérens horse, Skiing on your feet, you can savor the pleasure of skiing by following the horse's wake. What age and what level to learn about this practice?
No need to be a rider to practice ski-joëring, but a good skier anyway ! (confirmed skiers - 3rd star level in alpine skiing). You have to come with your own ski equipment and let's start learning! Even toddlers can try their hand at the practice, from 8 years old!
