Its objectives are to safeguard, transmit and promote the popular culture of Bethmale and Couserans in France and abroad through exhibitions, books, workshops and shows. The association also organizes Major Events.

It is a popular art association which refers to the Bethmale valley, rich in traditions and particularly known for its brightly colored embroidered costume and its very particular pointed clogs. In 1991, she also created the RITE festival, a place for dialogue between world cultures, meetings and exchanges around dances, songs and music. This event takes place every year at the beginning of August in Saint-Girons and the region.
The association continues survey work and research to collect the memory of elders, testimonies about the culture of the Bethmale valley and Couserans (songs, dances, costumes, musical instruments, habits and customs, etc.). ), and safeguards tangible and intangible heritage.
It also introduces the couserannais (young and old) to the regional culture and makes them aware of the aspects of the mountain social life of their ancestors for a better understanding of their country and its inhabitants.
