The Garbet pond is the largest natural lake in the Aulus les Bains valley. Very popular with fishermen, you will reach this magnificent place via a path that is initially easy and then more "brittle". The circus around the Garbet pond offers a magnificent view of the breach from which flows the weir of the blue pond located 300 meters above. It is this waterfall that feeds the Garbet. Road access: From Aulus-les-Bains, take the direction of Port de Lers (D8f), go up to the car park in a hairpin bend (clearly visible hiking signs indicate the start)

Take the path marked in yellow which enters the wood. The climb is gradual until you leave the forest to reach the start of the Cirque de Garbettou.

The circus of Garbettou is a wetland. Continue on the ledge and cross the small stream (the Garbet). The well-marked path then rises in the woods, then on a more rocky part. Then pass in front of a small waterfall and finish with a last steep path before discovering the Garbet Pond.

Return by the same route to the starting car park.
