The mouillères, associated fauna and flora in Donezan

The wetlands of the Noubals dam, the numerous wet meadows of the Bruyante valley, those which border the Quérigut pond and which surround the meanders of the Restanque constitute the exceptional wetlands in Donezan.

These areas are home to particularly rich and varied fauna and flora: round-leaved sundew, sphagnum moss, cotton grass, viper snake, asp viper, viviparous lizard, common frog and webbed newt...

The association of Ariégeois Naturalists and Conservatoire des Espace Naturel supports Donezan in the preservation of these environments.
