It has already been more than 30 years since the Rucher du Montcalm was created. Sylvie Humbert ("Maya" for regulars) is at the origin of this project, now relayed by her daughter Janice.
The apiaries are located in an exceptional natural setting: the valley of Val-de-Sos and Auzat offers these small bees an ecosystem free of pesticides and other phytosanitary products that can harm their balance.
Our two apiaries allow us to offer you 6 varieties of honey ranging from the fruity sweetness of Rhododendron honey to the woody power of Callune Heather Honey.
Our honeys are 100% from wild flowers from our Ariège mountains at altitudes between 700 and 1800 meters.
Mother nature orchestrates the harvests and varieties of honey. This gives new taste palettes that have won medals many times in various competitions.
