Our farm is located in Roquefixade, in the territory of the Cathar Pyrenees, in a valley of lush nature. We raise hiking donkeys there.
It is at the donkey's pace, that of one of our friendly, big-eared guides, that you will best appreciate the riches of this country. A whole network of marked, easy and little-used trails awaits you there!

Multi-day hikes - loop circuits starting from the farm:
Roquefixade - Plantaurel (middle limestone mountain maximum altitude: 1001m) Roquefixade - Montségur (Pyrenean foothills maximum altitude: 1320m). Cathar trail GR367. Chemin des Bonshommes GR107. Tower of Montségur. Tabe massif (Pyrenees): Mont Fourcat, St-Barthélémy, Truites and Diable lakes. Mirepoix-Montségur via the GR7 and Lake Montbel.
Two options to choose from: comfort hike with nights in gite accommodation and guest rooms or freedom hike with nights in a tent (camping or bivouac depending on possibilities).

This price includes: a donkey trained in hiking, its wooden pack, two large saddlebags, grooming and tying equipment for the night. IGN map with route and explanations for leading a donkey and preparing bags.
If transporting donkeys: 1€/km
So that your donkey walks with pleasure and stays in shape, your luggage will not weigh more than 30kg per donkey to which will be added the weight of the pack and the maintenance kit for your donkey, i.e. approximately 40kg.
Freedom stays in tents, count 1 donkey for 2/3 people, 2 donkeys for 4/5 people (and you will certainly also have to carry belongings in your backpacks).
Comfortable stays in accommodation and half board, count 1 donkey for 2/1 people.
