Mountain biking with the Pyrenees Ariègeoises Guides Office – MCF School (French Cycling Instructor)

With family or friends, the Bureau des Guides des Pyrénées Ariègeoises allows you to benefit from the experience of its guides on the trails and slopes of Haute-Ariège. The outings are carried out on descending profiles, in order to better feel the unique sensations of downhill mountain biking. The technical gestures are taught during each outing, and you can take advantage of the Enduro mountain bikes which will allow you to fully appreciate these outings in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees!

For summer 2024, here are the outings supervised by the Pyrenees Ariégeoises Guides Office:

- MTB / MTB initiation - Downhill Profile (1/2 day): Itinerary can be adjusted according to your level, this outing allows you to discover the natural resources of the Ariège Pyrenees along the water and forest tracks.

- Mountain biking / Hiking Mountain descent (1/2 day): The profile of this mountain bike hike is suitable for regular and rather sporty practitioners. Memorable landscapes and small trails are on the program for this 100% Haute-Ariège outing!

- Downhill mountain biking / mountain biking - Ax-3-Domaines station (1/2 day): Once the snow has left the Bonascre plateau, mountain biking becomes king on the slopes of the Ax-station. 3-Domains! This outing will allow you to approach the fundamentals of downhill mountain biking through technical mini-challenges and with the help of an instructor who will adapt to your level!

- AE mountain biking (1/2 day): Mountain biking accessible? It is possible with electric assistance! Come and test these bikes which adapt to the Ariège reliefs. The passes and the panoramic views are yours, guaranteed cramp-free, it's just fantastic!

- AE mountain bike - Naturalist outing (1/2 day): Go up the Oriège river on an AE mountain bike, before stopping to observe marmots, chamois and bearded vultures, in the famous Orlu wildlife reserve.

- AE mountain biking - Discovery of the Orlu Valley (1/2 day): During this outing you will have the pleasure of discovering Lake Orgeix, its village and its magnificent stone bridge, before heading towards the village of Orlu, its forges and its waterfall. And why not stop for a taste break at the Crabé farm.

- AE mountain bike - HIKING (1 day): Go up the Oriège river on an AE mountain bike. Short stop to observe marmots, chamois and bearded vultures, in the famous Orlu wildlife reserve. Then walk up to the Etang d'en Beys for lunch on the terrace of the refuge, facing the lake. For the return you will enjoy a beautiful descent on foot then by AE mountain bike to Orlu
