Couserando invites you to go hiking on the trail of the mythical animals that inhabit the forests of the Ariège Pyrenees: Capercaillie, Black Woodpecker, Brown Bear, Deer...
These animals are discreet and hide in the foliage, but many clues reveal their presence (footprints, feces, nests, leftover meals, etc.). Couserando will help you discover them and identify their author. We will also listen to listen, depending on the season, for the song of the black woodpecker, the cry of the deer or the impressive bellowing of the deer. We will learn more about the lifestyle of the main inhabitants of the forest to make our research easier.
As we wander around, we will also try to recognize certain species of trees and forest plants; information on their ecology, their adaptations to the mountains and their uses will be brought to you. We will also discuss forest management and its consequences on the forest environment.
