Day 1: 10 km stage: You will be welcomed at La Résidence l'Oustal del Carla *** at Carla Bayle.

Day 2: 160 km stage: Breakfast and on the way to the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Natural Park!

After passing through the tunnel and the porch of the Mas d'Azil cave, the only cave in Europe that can be crossed by car, you will be met by your guide in Saint-Lizier.

You then discover the secrets of homemade production. At the Moulin Gourmand, we have managed to preserve the original ethic: working with local milk, selling only raw milk cheeses made in-house and always by hand. Le Moulin Gourmand is the smallest cheese producer in Bethmale. Here we preserve traditional know-how such as the manufacture of Brousse and the preparation of Millas in a cauldron.
Continue your journey to the workshop of one of the last clog-makers in France. Pascal Jusot makes his clogs entirely by hand in Arret en Bethmale. He will tell you the famous legend of these traditional Couserans clogs sought after by collectors and worn by local folk groups.

Before leaving, be sure to stop at Lake Bethmale, whose heart shape recalls the legend of the lovers of Bethmale and its color with blue green reflections, that of the witch's dress...
Your return route will be lined with magnificent little Romanesque churches, such as that of Vic d'Oust.

3 Day: Perched on its promontory, the charming village of Carla Bayle invites you to stroll through its little alleys, along its half-timbered houses. You will discover its church and its temple, witnesses of the history of the wars of religion and the homeland of the Enlightenment philosopher, Pierre Bayle.
