Ingredients for 6 people

  • 400 g of old Bethmale
  • 400 g of young Bethmale
  • 1 / 2 l of white wine
  • 2 g of corn starch
  • 300 g fancy bread
  • 2 cl of kirsch
  • Salt, pepper, nutmeg and garlic

Prep time

Prepare the bread: Cut pieces of about 3cm. You can also grill them in the oven for a few minutes at 200 ° C.

Prepare your earthenware or enamel pan: rub the inside with a clove of garlic. Then slice the Bethmale cheese and then melt it over low heat in the pan.

Wet the preparation with half a bottle of dry white wine in which you will have dissolved 2g of corn starch. Continue to melt the cheese, stirring continuously with a spatula and keep boiling for 3 minutes in order to homogenize the dough. Just before starting to taste the fondue at the Bethmale, pour in 2 cl of good, pure kirsch from the country. Adjust the seasoning (salt, pepper, grated nutmeg).

Your fondue at Bethmale is finally ready to serve!

Place your skillet on the lit alcohol stove in the center of the table. Enjoy!
