Small mountain village of Lassur

Municipality of Lassur Altitude: 620 m Location: in the upper valley of the Ariège and along the National Road 20 Number of inhabitants: 84 Distances: Luzenac 3 km-Les Cabannes 5 km The village of Lassur extends to the Plateau de Beille and faces the town of Luzenac. Lassur is also crossed by the Fontargente and Jassette streams, as well as by the Ariège river. The Saint-Vincent church is part of its heritage. It takes its name from the presence of a convent, now rehabilitated into a dwelling house. In the past, people referred to the village as La Sœur, becoming over the years Lassur. Despite a mudslide in 2014 which damaged several houses without causing any casualties, the village has retained its charm and brings together a good number of inhabitants each year for its traditional festival. Opening hours of the town hall: Monday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 14 p.m. to 17 p.m. Wednesday: 14 p.m. to 16 p.m.
