It is crossed by the Caussou stream which has its source at the Col de Marmare, as well as by the Fabre stream which brings water to the northern part of the village. Caussou shares its Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church and its war memorial with the small neighboring town of Bestiac, the latter having been inaugurated in July 2004 and made of talc rock from Luzenac.
