A real hot water footbath with relaxing and healing properties

Built in 1672, the Bassin de la Basse is fed by the thermal springs of Basse and Rougeron. Formerly covered with a slate roof, it was mainly used by washerwomen for rinsing laundry with water at 18°C.
It was restored by the municipality in 2008, and it is now open to the public as a foot bath, like the famous Ladres basin.
Today the tourists do not fail to dip their feet in the basin attributing to it relaxing and healing virtues.
