The House of Wolves

In a preserved natural environment, you will observe packs of wolves from Europe, Poland, Canada and the Arctic. And to get to know them better, come during their feeding!

Welcomed at La maison des loups in the ticket office building, you will have independent access to the animal park located in the forest...
Duration of the visit from approximately 2 hours to the day.

More than 5 hectares in the forest within the Orlu national wildlife reserve to get to know the different packs of the park with twenty five wolves.
To get to know them better, we advise you to listen to the comments of the keepers during feeding (approximately 2 or 3 feedings per day / see schedules below). You will get to know the new family of Canadian Mackenzie wolves during feeding or tunnel vision.

The visit continues with the mini-farm near the trout pond.
Young and old alike will be delighted to see the 3 little pigs, to sit on the tractor, to pet Mr. Seguin's goat, to meet the rabbits including the Giant of Flanders (biggest rabbit), to observe the hens, roosters, guinea pigs and little chicks... A timed track lets you know if you run faster than the wolf!

The Maison des Loups is also entertainment in the park:
- an auditorium, 
- a storytelling square,
- an archaeological workshop,
- a "gold digger" experience,
- trails: ornithological to discover local birds and “barefoot” discovery to activate our senses.
- a vision tunnel (squatting behind glass, you can observe the wolves and their cubs very closely, please note that this service is limited in number of places, subject to time slots and with a supplement of 4€/pers),
- a molding workshop with clay, activity reserved only for school groups
- a playground and picnic areas inside the park.

The house of wolves is also services:
- A shop entirely dedicated to the Wolf with numerous souvenirs, books, soft toys, accessories, goodies, postcards...
- A restaurant (gourmet plates, Caesar salad, burgers, rib steak, sausage/fries, desserts, etc.) with a covered terrace facing the waterfall and the forest.
- A bar / Snacking outside restaurant opening / Ice cream. (The water is not drinkable within the park - possibility of a bar and toilets in the reception building).

Part of the park is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Special services for schoolchildren, contact La maison des loups. 

Since April 2022, work has been underway at the Forges d'Orlu on the spaces of the Vallées Ingénieuses project (formerly mountain observatory) and the car park.
