In a valley open to the south, on the right bank of the Hers, is the church of Saint Jean Baptiste de Manses. It is listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments (decree of 8/10/1992).

Originally, Manses was priory of the Benedictine abbey of Montolieu of the diocese of Carcassonne, priory which was certainly at the origin of the village.
The Romanesque church of Saint John the Baptist, which has been deeply reworked, has a remarkable glass roof which has the particularity of being placed horizontally, at the crossroads of the transept. This building also bears witness to the history of the village to which she contributed with the Contes de Porte de Pardailhan family, whose castle was demolished and moved to the neighboring town of Teilhet.

Like most village churches today, it is closed, but visits are possible: either on Monday afternoon during the permanence of the town hall located just opposite from 14 p.m. to 00 p.m., or by appointment to take preferably a or two days in advance with Martine Saubat 16 00 06 44 16 or Gérard De Vangel 05 83 09 61 37.
