The great fair on May 8 & 9, an essential traditional event in the life of the valleys since 1293

Promulgated by the Counts of Foix, appearing for the first time officially on the charter of 1293, the Fair of 8 & 9m ai brings together the country's breeders, presenting mountain breeds, numerous traders, and activities all day long relating to to breeding.

WEDNESDAY 8 MAY

From 7:00 a.m.: opening of the Fair

- Livestock market (Ring du Foirail)

o 7:00 a.m.: sale of sheep

o 7:30 a.m.: sale of grazing

o 8:00 a.m.: donkey sale

o 10:00 a.m.: sale of heifers and breeding heifers aged 1 to 2 years

o 11:00 a.m.: fat cows

- Exhibition of agricultural equipment

- Exhibition of Ariège breeds (exhibition of sheep and cattle, Gascon heifers, horses, mules and donkeys).

- The Floralies

- The gourmet and artisanal village

- The trade fair

11:00 a.m.: Official parade and commemoration ceremony of May 8, 1945

11:30 a.m.: prize giving for butchers

14:30 p.m.: Mowing demonstration (Foirail Podium)
