4 BIG BANDS on show

The LDO BIG BAND in partnership with the “Swing à Mirepoix” Festival is organizing in the Mirepoix hall, on Sunday May 5, 2024, the 3rd Jazz meeting bringing together the Big Bands from the music schools of Castelnaudary, Limoux, Muret and Laroque d 'Olmes.

This day around jazz will be an opportunity for musicians to meet in the morning to participate in various workshops in the premises provided (Paul Dardier room).

A Concert will be performed at the end of this meeting by all the participants in this day.

In turn, the different Big Bands will take the stage from 15 p.m., performing a few pieces from their repertoire; the concert will end with a common piece performed by the four groups.

Dance clubs will join in this meeting by offering introductory swing dance workshops.

Classes will be given before the concert by Corinne and Andi in the Marcel Pagnol room from 12:45 p.m. to 13:45 p.m. for progressive beginner balboa and from 14 p.m. to 15 p.m. for intermediate Lindy Hop.
