From 05 Jul 2024

Every year, in July, this unique festival calls all its participants to reflection, commitment and resistance around several current themes renewed each year.

THEMES 2024:
- Short of justice - What is the state of justice today? Overloaded courts, burned-out judges, sentences that do not prevent recidivism and detention conditions sanctioned by the International Criminal Court in 2020, make us ask this simple question: are we short of justice?

- Addiction please - Consume to relieve pain, to find sleep, to get rid of fears, inhibitions, loneliness, to feel alive, to be entertained, but also to stay awake e, efficient, continue to produce: harder, better, faster, stronger!
Is addiction a pathology or is it just another side effect of our over-consumption societies? How can we think about and treat lack, in a society of everything, immediately, without limits?

- The mechanics of forgetting - For a group or individuals, masking or being in denial about certain events makes reality more acceptable or less guilt-inducing. Collective memory plays an important role in the construction of the identity of a group to the extent that the story told defines it and values it. It is difficult to integrate into this memory the violent events of which the group was guilty.
Women, children, victims of family secrets, incest, victims of war, genocide, dictatorship... we wish to focus on those forgotten by history, on the invisible.

- The bonds that liberate - The sky is very dark on the horizon. The list of upcoming storms is long. Some are already there and we can hear them rumbling in the distance. To ward off them, it seems that we are collectively overcome by a reflex of withdrawal, of falling back to snuggle into the cozy comfort of denial.
The theme The links that liberate aims, through a selection of documentaries and fiction, to encourage us to take the opposite bet. Let's go out, campaign and fight together and tirelessly. Let us gradually exchange the repressed pangs of simulated well-being to dare to approach, organize and love each other in equality. In work, in love, in friendship, do we measure the rarity of moments that we share with others without a desire to dominate, without giving in to submission? Privileges of gender, sexual orientation, class, age, validity, skin color or skirt length.
