At an altitude of 1274m, theLers pond is a sweet frozen parenthesis in the heart of the Pyrenees Ariégeoises Natural Park, in the Couserans. It welcomes all lovers of tranquility and large preserved spaces. For the practice of Nordic walking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, or simply to enjoy winter landscapes and relax, the Lers pond is surely one of the most magical places in the entire Pyrenees range.

Winter access

The Lers pond site is nestled in the heart of 2 valleys: that of Massat and that of Vicdessos. In winter, access is only by Massat, the Port of Lers being closed.

DISCONNECT and relax

At an altitude of 1 m, the Nordic area of ​​the Lers pond allows you to practice cross-country skiing. Its 274 km of groomed and marked trails, its 25 km of snowshoe trails, its tobogganing and pedestrian areas make it an exceptional site in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees. A 23 km Nordic walking track invites snowshoe hikers to explore this area.

Not to be missed under any circumstances: the lazy break on the sunny terrace overlooking the frozen pond.

A stone's throw away, Coumebière is an excellent start for wilder walks in snowshoes or Nordic skiing towards the Port of Saleix and especially Mont Ceint (Pic de Girantès), which together offer an extraordinary view of the peaks of Couserans and the Ariège Pyrenees.
