L'Estive - National stage

L'Estive, national stage of Foix and Ariège, is part of the 76 national scenes of France. The philosophy of Estive is to bring art and culture to the countryside, to make people discover and love art and culture through a program for all audiences. The program takes place in Foix and in other towns and villages of the department from September to June: shows, concerts, workshops, conferences, plays, literary meetings ...

Art house cinema

L'Estive has been offering a public service cinema, labeled Art-house, for everyone, in Foix and in Ariège since 1981.

Privileged window on the world, with views from here and elsewhere, auteur cinema, first films… The cinema of the Estive cultivates the quality and sense of programming above all, combines films in national release and works heritage, and welcomes, whenever possible, directors, actors and producers.

The Estive cinema season includes a large number of events: Ciné-Monde, Ciné-Minots, Cinespaña, Ciné-Latino, Ciné-Bal, Ciné-Concert, Ciné-Plein air ...

Shows, literary events, concerts and entertainment

Each year, 40 to 45 artistic companies perform at the Estive and give a hundred performances. Plays, dance and magic shows, concerts, circus, opera… the program is very varied and spread throughout the year!

Each of the representations always addresses a specific cultural, social, societal, anthropological theme, prompting spectators to think : women's rights, ecology, childhood ... through the dance, puppet shows, musical comedies ...

L'Estive and its cultural program disrupts achievements, perceptions, and broadens everyone's vision.
