The objective of this class is to observe and understand mountain fauna. Children will be able to deepen their knowledge of the animal world. Observation of the living, ecology, fauna and flora, management of the natural space are the topics addressed.

Your program
1 - Visit of the House of Wolves in Orlu
1 Day:
Come and meet packs of wolves evolving in the middle of the forest in the heart of the wild frontier. Discover wolves: from Europe, Canada, the Arctic and Poland. You will attend the commented feeding of one of these packs, and will thus better know the behavior and the social life of these superb animals so decried.
The visit is free for an hour and a half, during which you will discover:
- the barefoot trail to feel the pulse of the earth! - the sound station to listen to the fabulous tales around the wolf.
- thematic trails (traces, ornithological, botanical) allowing an approach of the mountain environment.
On a semi-guided tour, you can pet and brush the animals at Monsieur Seguin's educational farm, race with the wolf and take part in the gold panning workshop. Thanks to the tunnel of vision, the children will be able to approach it, in complete safety. They will live a magical and privileged head to head with the wolves.
Optional: as a souvenir of this beautiful day, leave with the print of a wolf's paw!

2 - Walk in the Orlu reserve to observe wild animals
Day 2:
Accompanied by nature guides from the Maison de la Réserve and the Mountain Observatory, get up close to marmots, chamois and large birds of prey.

The nature guides of the Maison de la Réserve offer different approaches: discovery of the mountains, reading the landscape, the particularities of mountain fauna (isard, marmot, capercaillie, bearded vulture, etc.), the flora, etc.

3 - An unusual animal in our mountains: the llama
3 Day:
A project designed and animated by the llameros. Reception in the village of Saleix: workshops of your choice over the day or half-day:
- Guided tour, in the meadows, the park in the middle of free llamas, around the discovery of the animal: behavior, food, reproduction, use… and other secrets (1 to 2 hours).
- Contact and care for animals, brushing and feeding (1 hour). - Activities on the history of wool, demonstrations, creation of llama wool objects to take home: spinning or weaving (1 hour).
- Discovery of the local flora (1 hour). - Activities around the environment and sustainable agriculture in the mountain area of the Pyrenees and the Andes.
- Workshop around the culture of the populations of the Andes from the use of the lama, their wool and clothes (1 hour).
- Stroll with llamas on the lead, led by the children around Saleix (from 1 to 4 hours).

Evening vigil: tales and legends of Ariège provided by a storyteller.

- Better understand the place of man in his environment.
