Day 1: Col de Grail (1485m)

Departure from the Auzat Tourist Office, climb towards the old mining village of Sem. Meal at "la Ferme du Minier" and visit to the small museum of Sem. It is by the old mule track serving the disused galleries that you will cross the old royal forests. A forest track will then take you to the Col de Grail and its refuge at the end of this first stage.
Day 2: Bertasque de Goulier (1330m)

Via the Bois de Lercoul, you will reach the crest of the Montagnette up to the 2.047 m of the Pic du Garbié de Brésoul offering a striking panorama over the Siguer valley. The easy descent of a rounded ridge covered with "gispet" will allow you to join a path that crosses the Combe d'Endron on a balcony. It joins, after a few wide bends, the small ski resort where you can "break bread". The GR 10 then crosses the Bois de Cauderas, crosses the Goulier torrent and then takes the Chemin Horizontal leading to the Brosquet fountain, the end of a forest track that you will take to the Bertasque refuge, the end of your stage.
Day 3: Mouret (1076m)

On the way to the longest stage with a walk on a balcony path crossing ravines (where you might see a few chamois), a steep descent with multiple bends to the hamlet of Pradières d'en Bas in the Artiès valley. You will then take the square canal leading to the Sabouillet beech forest where you will take a lunch break in the shade of century-old beech trees.
Then it will be the climb to the Prunadières ridge and the small refuge of the same name before beginning the final descent leading to the characteristic hamlet of Mounicou.
You will finally reach the Mouret refuge surrounded by its nursery and overlooking the Artigue canyon.
Day 4: Bassiès (1650m)

Duration: 5 hour

After leaving the refuge and crossing the Artigue torrent, a short climb gives access to the Canal Carré (as old aqueducts transformed into pleasant hiking trails are called) which leads to the outskirts of a hydroelectric power station. After a snack break, it will be the climb along the torrent and its waterfalls.
After the Pont de Pierre, the route runs along the superb Bassiès lake system to end at the guarded refuge of the same name, where the friendly couple of wardens welcome you.
Dinner and overnight stay in the immense glacial cirque.
For this stage, transport by mule is planned in order to bring the essential "minimum" to the refuge and back down the next day.
Day 5: Land of the future (1420m)

Climb to the Cabanatous pass, the Alate pond and the highest point of the hike: Mont Ceint which, from its 2 m altitude, offers a stunning 088° panorama of the Ariège mountains and their foothills. Descent to the Port de Lers and the last refuge of the circuit: Terre d'Avenir, on the edge of the forest and pasture, facing the Pic des Trois Seigneurs.
Day 6: Auzat (750m)
Distance: 11.5 km
Duration: 4 hour
Positive elevation: 100 m
Through the woods of Freychinède and Soubrouque, after having skirted the listed peat bog of Bernadouze, the balcony path joins the Tour du massif des Trois Seigneurs, crosses the Col de la Crouzette to reach the picturesque village of Saleix. After the picnic break, you will begin the descent towards Auzat and return to the Tourist Office where refreshments will be offered to you before the group disperses. End of the stay.

The price includes
- Supervision by a mountain guide.
- Half-board accommodation + Picnic from midday on day 1 to midday on day 6.
- Round trip transfers in front of Tarascon sur Ariège station.
- The provision of a logistician to the group. He is responsible for transporting luggage and bedding (sheets), delivering meals (taken at local innkeepers), serving them at the table, and maintaining the refuges. He will be able to inform you about the particularities of the route and its technical characteristics. He will also be your link with the valley, but in no case the taxi allowing access to the refuges!
- Full board (including wine with meals) from lunch on day 1 to lunch on day 6. Lunch is based on cold "road" food, while evening meals are cooked and feature mountain recipes.
- Accommodation in 4 fully renovated forest shelters made available exclusively to the group (nights 1, 2, 3 and 5). The night of day 4 in a guarded shelter where you will meet other hikers. In each of the 5 buildings, sheets and blankets will be at your disposal.
- Visits to the Sem museum and the Montcalm honey house
- Meeting with an agent from the National Forestry Office who will introduce you to the history of the valley and its natural spaces
- The presence of a qualified mid-mountain guide for the entire duration of the stay, including nights.
