1 - The conquest of the castle of Foix.

You don't know this fortress? It's time to discover it! At the foot of the castle, discover the brand new 2 m² museum space to get to know the various counts of Foix. The pupils explore the spaces as in Fébus' time, in a fun and interactive way. The little ones are accompanied by a mediator throughout the visit. Inside the castle, a complete change of scenery: welcome to the 000th century! Find in each room: furniture, seats and weapons, each more realistic than the next!
You can choose participatory workshops led by our characters, straight from the Middle Ages:
- Weapons workshop with crossbow shooting.
- Workshop of the forge with the blacksmith.
- Stone cutting workshop with the stonemason.
- Workshop on war machines and their operation.

2 - Once upon a time, the forges ... juniors!

In a bucolic setting, on a site crossed by a pretty river, the unforgettable village of Forges de Pyrène will allow young people to soak up the atmosphere of the villages of yesteryear.
For your school outings, the Forges de Pyrène offer you a didactic and fun educational offer around trades and life at the beginning of the 20th century.
You can choose between 2 formulas:
The recreational visit: children are invited to discover the animated workshops, the free visit of the museum and the ages of life.
The educational visit "back to the past": children will be immersed in life in the last century thanks to tailor-made workshops and activities designed and thought through for each level.
17:30 p.m.: End of activities.
Educational objectives:
- Find your bearings, orient yourself and situate yourself in a geographical space.
- Order events.
- Provide some methods of observation, discovery, identification.
- Develop your sense of reflection, of deduction.
- Develop your team spirit.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION Bus parking (on the Forges site) - Toilets - Shop area - Outdoor picnic area and covered hall (on the Forges site) - Accessible to people with reduced mobility (partially). NB: each of the sites can offer a reception for the full day.
