1 - Visit and the birthplace of Aristide Bergès in Lorp Sentaraille

10h00: Visit and the birthplace of Aristide Bergès in Lorp Sentaraille.

Located in the former paper factory, the Aristide Bergès Museum invites you to discover the paper material in all its forms, the continuous papermaking machines and their related installations. Everything is listed as a historical monument. Enter the birthplace of Aristide Bergès, son of a papermaker, who will remain faithful to his roots even if hydraulic engineering will bring him glory.

2 - Discovery of the ham attic

11h30: Visit of the Grenier à Jambons in Rimont. The Grenier à Jambons workshop perpetuates the know-how of our grandmothers who treasured the recipes for making charcuterie from Ariège. They were only transmitted from mother to daughter.

12 noon: Lunch at the restaurant ''Le Relais du Grenier à Jambon'' in Rimont.
Suggested menu:
- Plate of homemade charcuterie
- Pareillade of pork meat (blood pudding, sausage, grilled breast)
- Homemade dessert (tiramisu or chocolate fondant or crisp)
- Wine and coffee included

3 - Visit of the Notre-Dame de Lagoutte chapel in Montardit

15h00: Built between 1968 and 2001 by Abbot Jean-Marie Piquemal with pebbles and stones he found, masonry and sculpted. He continues with an equally original way of the cross on the outside.

4 - Tasting of Couserans crisps at the Martine Crespo shop in Saint-Girons

16h30: It was in 1983 that Martine Crespo decided to restore its authenticity to the real traditional Couserans croustade, which was once the long-awaited dessert for family reunions or the annual village festival. When you didn't have your own wood-fired oven, you would cook your crisps, sometimes by quarantine, in the baker's oven.

17:30 p.m. End of your day.
