1 - Visit of Saint-Lizier

Day 1: For this stay, you will be staying at the Le Domaine du Palais residence in Saint-Lizier. Private car park.

Guided tour of the brand new Palace of the Bishops whose museography has been revisited to present the heritage of Couserans, its various functions over time and especially the chapel of Notre Dame de la Sède whose painted vault is reminiscent of the Sistine Chapel.

Installation in the apartments of the residence, dinner at the gastronomic table of the Carré de l'Ange.

2 - Visit of a cheese dairy and the workshop of a clog maker

Day 2: Stage of 66 km. : Breakfast and guided tour of the city of Saint-Lizier, stopover on the way to Santiago de Compostela. Discover the beautiful cathedral, the cloister, the treasury and the XNUMXth century pharmacy.
Visit of the artisanal cheese dairy Le moulin gourmand in Engomer and tasting of local specialties.

Lunch on the spot.

Visit of the workshop of Pascal Jusot, clog maker in Arret en Bethmale.
The pointed shape of its traditional clogs will certainly appeal to you. Visit to the peddlers' shop departing from Soueix-Rogalle. A real XNUMXth century shop modeled on the old hardware stores, grocery stores and haberdashery that our great-grandparents knew and where the itinerant merchants of the time stocked up.

Return to the residence, dinner and overnight.

3 - The Forges of Pyrene

Day 3: 70 km stage: Breakfast.

Visit of the forgotten village of Forges de Pyrène in Montgailhard.

Find the trades of yesteryear and the 8 tools listed, relive the making of bread over a wood fire, the blacksmith's work and writing with a pen in a class of 500.

Lunch at the restaurant “Ô bistrot Pyrène, on site.

Visit of the textile and horn comb museum in Lavelanet.

This former textile factory, founded in 1, now houses a national heritage collection on the transformation of wool, manual and mechanized spinning and weaving as well as a production line from the 800s. You will of course attend to a live demonstration!
