1 - Departure of the hike

At the Pont Vieux, at the level of the sign "Les Terrasses du Pech" Take the porch (see route plan on rigid sign) where the so-called "asparagus" path begins, in reference to the plant that is commonly found, in the wild, on the slope.
Note the calade pavement (a word of Occitan origin designating rustic paving).
The path climbs in regular switchbacks (do not engage on the various beginnings of paths which start horizontally, on either side of the route).

2 - Follow the GR

The path leads to a wide path.
Then turn right taking the GR Sentier des Bonshommes / Sentier Cathare to a crossroads marked by a dry stone building on which rests a large explanatory panel.

3 - High point of the terraces

Take the horizontal path to the right which comes out in the open after a short climb equipped with a wooden ramp.
Follow the well-marked waymarking to the highest point corresponding to the “dry building” sign.

Continue the path horizontally before descending, passing near a ruined shed.
Return to Foix by the same route.
