Your itinerary

Map List

1 - Departure

From the Town Hall, you will follow the departmental road in the direction of the church. You will take the first street on the left, rue du Coural, which is also the start of the promenade des fontaines.

2 - Crossing of the old village

You cross the old village following the Rade stream which you will follow then turn left to join the Bartat forest road. Keep to your left at the Pont du Rouyre.

3 - Continue to the 2nd barrier

Continue on this track until the second barrier. You will come across the "Roc del Aglo", rock of the eagle, with a furnished area and possibility of picnic. Further on, an orientation table will allow you to locate Foix, Montgailhard, Saint-Paul-de-Jarrat and Mont Fourcat.

4 - Second barrier

Arrived at the second barrier, you will continue on your left until the next bend and there, a track will lead you to the right to the Bartat refuge located about a hundred meters from the junction between the track and the Taus path.

5 - Continue to the left towards the Piche waterfall

A shelter is open, the other part is closed and can be opened under certain conditions (inquire at the town hall). It is forbidden to make fires. You will descend to the barrier and take the track on your left which will lead you to the Piche waterfall. Then, you will retrace your steps slightly so as to descend to the second waterfall, then you will join the third waterfall in the direction indicated.

6 - Return to the starting point

You will continue the descent following the signs to reach the forest track you took on the way out. You will return to the starting point through the village.
