The Tabariane site will immerse you in the Merovingian era. Archaeological work has brought to light 166 burials. The site of this necropolis is fitted out with interpretive panels illustrating the very ancient human occupation.

Road access: From Pamiers, take the D119 towards Mirepoix. After the village of Rieucros, turn left on the D206 towards Teilhet. Cross the Hers river. At the next intersection, turn left on the D6 and reach the village of Teilhet. Park in front of the church.

1 - Departure

From the church square, continue on the tarmac road towards Lapenne for 300 meters to exit the village. Take the path on your right. Along the way, a logo resembling an African mask will accompany you.

2 - Necropolis of Tabariane

You will thus reach the necropolis site which is freely accessible. Continue the walk to find the GR78 (road to Saint Jacques de Compostela) and return to your starting point.
