A beautiful hike located in Haute Ariège, on the borders of Andorra. On the program of your day in this high mountain landscape, you will discover an abundant flora as well as several lakes and torrents.

At Ax les Thermes, follow the RN20 towards Andorra as far as the village of l'Hospitalet near Andorra. After the EDF power station, turn left onto a road that goes down and park in the St Suzanne area.

DEPARTURE ROUTE NATIONALE 20: 42.58535, 1.79595
Take the path under the bridge with a sign indicating "Etang de Pédourès - Refuge du Rulhe", very steep, which passes at the foot of an electricity pylon and climbs in switchbacks. It passes under the penstock then turns to the southwest, rising on the right bank of the Siscar stream, which it crosses by a stone bridge until it reaches a junction.

INTERSECTION: 42.58968, 1.78372
Take the path starting on the right and continue uphill to the Planet du Roux jasse where the slope becomes less painful to reach a first lake.

SMALL LAKE WITH DAM 42.60064, 1.78316
Continue on the path, leaving the pond on your left. After having crossed the torrent twice, the slope straightens up and leads you to the pond of Pédourès.

PEDOURES POND 42.61328, 1.7723
At the fork, leave the long-distance footpath and go to the left to reach a small dam located on the pond. Leave the pond on your right, then behind you and continue in the valley on the marked path. Pass near a small pond and go between climbs and ledges towards the porteilla du sisca.

PORTEILLA DU SISCA 42.60358, 1.75458
Start the descent always on the well marked path towards the pond of the siscar, easily recognizable with its small island.

POND DU SISCAR 42.59837, 1.7475
Arrived at the pond weir marked by a small hut, continue on the path going to the left, while following the stream, to reach another small pond.

SMALL POND: 42.58769, 1.76758
Go along this pond, leaving it on your right and continue downhill along the stream until you reach the first intersection and find the route taken for the ascent. Turn right, cross the stone bridge and continue downhill to reach your starting point.
