This hike will take you to the d'en Beys refuge and its pond through the national reserve of Orlu from where you can contemplate an extraordinary flora and fauna!
Road access: At the exit of Ax-les-Thermes, take the direction "Orlu". Cross the village of Orlu and continue towards the Forges d'orlu. Continue until you reach a place called "Fanguil-Chalet" from where the start will be.

Refuge
1 - Departure
From the starting car park, take the footbridge to cross the Ariège and continue the climb on the left bank (yellow markings), then recover the track and continue to arrive at the Jasse de Justiniac. From there, you pick up the GR7 (red and white markings). Continue on this track to reach the jasse du Printemps. You are at the heart of the reserve, do not hesitate to take a few moments to observe the magnificent yellow and flora.
2 - Bridge
At the end of this jasse, turn left and cross the footbridge which spans the Ariège to cross to its right bank. The slope starts to rise starting in the wood and continues on more earthy and stony parts before arriving at the pond. Continue a few meters around the pond on the right to reach the refuge.
3 - Refuge
The return will be made by the same path to the departure car park.
