The restaurant is open all year round. In low season from Wednesday to Sunday.

This name "Noste Courtiu" is inspired by the literary collection in local Gascon Nosti Courtius (therefore in the plural) produced by Jean CASTET (1883-1961) who was parish priest of Balagué and highly prized author of the Gascon floral juries. The courtius are defined as follows:

“Small courtyards surrounded by houses where neighbors meet to rest in the open air and exchange their impressions. The term which extends to the immediate poultry yards, gardens and orchards having these small courtyards as their center, like so many small public places, has become the symbol of human relations in the mountain villages of Couserans. "

The Noste Courtiu is a café, a restaurant, a small grocery store. A real place of life and exchange for the valley.
Here, you can drink a local apple juice while reading the newspaper, meet over a drink with friends, attend a show or a concert… or, sit on the terrace, quietly and watch the mountain.

If the outdoors whet your appetite, you can enjoy traditional cuisine made from fresh, seasonal produce from local producers. You can indulge yourself with a lighter snack, or, why not, a takeaway! the restaurant's menu in summer time is based on fresh and local products (beef steak tartare, fresh fish and vegetarian plate)

A small corner grocery store, will allow you to help you out and find the essential products of the country ... Honey, cheese, jams, fruit juice ...

Noste Courtiu also offers menus for all occasions for individuals or professionals, contact them for a personalized quote.

From time to time, a few musical notes may resound in the village… Once again, it will come from this place open to all in the center of this small village in the Pyrenees. For concerts and shows evenings, click on the following link for the 2020 program

Le Noste won the Goergette d'or competition in 2019 (café-bistro, wine bar, traditional table category). The Routard 2019 and the Petit Futé 2020.
