The Tour de France and Ariège is quite a story! Since 1903, the Grande Boucle in Ariège has been a story of the heart! The multicolored peloton regularly takes on the climbs and hurtles down the passes. The teams continue on to the legendary and wild passes of Ariège Pyrénées.

In 2024, the Tour de France makes its way to Ariège for the 15th stage Loudenvielle / Plateau de Beille! 🚵🏼‍♂️

The Ariégeoise cyclosportive organizes numerous activities to make you wait before the Tour de France passes through Ariège which has after the event to continue the cycling activities!

Beforehand, discover every day, a pass who made the tour legendary! You will find the Col de Pailhères, the Col de Port, the Plateau de Beille and the Prat d’Albis.

And after ? The party continues, time for the After Tour, the Ariégeoise organizes climbs of the Plateau de Beille in the months of July and August.

De many French or foreign runners have marked Ariège and its inhabitants through the Tour de France, thus certain passes have become legendary.

  • Victory for Marco Pantani to Guzet from Saint-Orens-de-Gameville in 1995 and to the Beille plateau from Luchon in 1998
  • Victory for Lans Armstrong at the Beille plateau in 2002
  • Victory for Thomas Voeckler at the Beille plateau in 2004
  • Victory for Christopher Froome at Ax 3 Domaines in 2013
