La Maison des Consuls is a listed historic monument located on the medieval town square of Mirepoix and was built at the end of the 13th century.
The medieval square of Mirepoix is known for the figures present under the covers. It was rebuilt by order of Louis XII, around 1500, after suffering the ravages of the Hundred Years War. After its reconstruction, it served as a consular house, hence its name.
The house suffered a fire in 1664, and its entire structure had to be rebuilt again.
Some rooms are decorated with antique furniture, in order to preserve all the character and cachet of this residence. Each room has its own style, from the XNUMXth century to the contemporary, and are equipped with beautiful bathrooms. Some overlook the medieval square directly.
Breakfast is served in a beautiful rustic room on the ground floor, in our veranda or on our terrace overlooking the famous Mirepoix square. You can stroll through this extraordinary little town, full of charm and history.
You will appreciate tasting a glass of wine from the region accompanied by local products on the hotel terrace… especially if you are lucky enough to come on a Monday, market day.
