Come and dream of the sky and discover all the secrets of the universe. Throughout the year, a team of passionate activity leaders guides you and helps you unravel the mysteries of our universe.

The Sabarat astronomy observatory offers a range of activities related to astronomy, for everyone:
- Public evenings: you can consult the proposed dates on the Observatory's website. Registration required.

- Private evenings for a group, a structure or a family: on request and reservation.

- Escape Game for a group or a family by reservation.
These activities take place whatever the weather: reception and presentation of the evening, slide show, then observation of the sky with the naked eye and with instruments depending on the weather.

- Courses for all ages and Petite Ourse courses (AFA Approved – Courses for children 8-14 years old): à la carte courses adapted to all levels. Qualified facilitators provide training in 1 or more groups depending on the level of the participants.
Number of places limited to 12 trainees. You will learn to locate yourself in the sky, to observe the surface of the sun, the moon, some planets and deep sky objects with instruments… and the first notions of astronomy.
For people who have already had a first contact with astronomy, we also offer in-depth courses, in particular through an introduction to digital astro-photography. These courses are perfectly adapted to a training of organizers of associative circles for the development of the astronomy activity (cf dates on our site).
Sur inscription.

- Exceptional: a 20km model of the solar system!!!!! The Sabarat observatory offers a single-scale model whose center, the Sun, is represented by its 6,3 m dome repainted yellow for the occasion. The 4 telluric planets are distributed on the access path to the observatory, the 4 gas giants are arranged over about twenty kilometers in the Arize valley. The planets are indicated by panels comprising the photo of the planet to scale, always with reference to that of the Earth. You can explore this model on foot, by bike or by car and discover this beautiful valley which runs along the Plantaurel chain, the foothills of the Pyrenees. The view from the observatory allows you to admire the Pyrenean peaks of Haute Ariège and Couserans and the sunset over the surrounding hills is absolutely beautiful.

- The observatory also welcomes groups by reservation.

Reservations for the various activities are made directly via the observatory's website.

Additional Information :
