You will learn to locate yourself in the sky, to observe with instruments the surface of the sun, the moon, some planets and deep sky objects… and the first notions of astronomy.

For people who have already had a first contact with astronomy, we offer advanced courses in particular by the initiation to digital astro-photography.
These courses are perfectly suited to the training of facilitators from associative circles for the development of astronomy activity.

Exceptional: a model of the solar system of 20km !!!!! The Sabarat observatory offers a model on a single scale whose center: the Sun is represented by its 6,3 m dome repainted in yellow for the occasion. The 4 terrestrial planets are distributed on the access path to the observatory, the 4 gas giants are arranged over twenty kilometers in the Arize valley. The planets are indicated by panels including the photo of the planet to scale with always in reference that of the Earth. You can browse this model on foot, by bike or by car and discover this beautiful valley which runs along the Plantaurel chain, the foothills of the Pyrenees.

The view from the observatory allows you to admire the Pyrenean peaks of Haute Ariège and Couserans and the sunset over the surrounding hills is stunning.
