The Château de Miglos stands its imposing ruins on a limestone spur, in the Vicdessos valley, between Niaux and Capoulet. In the middle of the 1789th century, the lord of the place, Arnaud de Miglos, announced himself as a supporter of the Cathar cause, by sending arms to the defenders of Montségur under siege. At the end of the Middle Ages, the land of Miglos, erected into a barony, gave right of entry to the States of Foix. In 1987, the castle of Miglos (already in ruins) was set on fire. It was classified as a Historic Monument in 2017. Crystallization work allowed the rehabilitation of the Keep and the northwest tower in XNUMX the ruins of the castle were saved. The association and the department are in the process of creating an interpretation trail around the castle. Free visit of the surroundings. Car park. Water point. Billboard.
