15 minutes from Foix, the Château de Fiches, whose history dates back more than 500 years, houses a unique and exceptional work: a painted bestiary dating from the beginning of the XNUMXth century.
The Château de Fiches has imprinted on its walls the procession of the centuries, from the Renaissance to the present day. Inside the main building, from floor to ceiling, the decorations intertwine the eras since the origin of the construction. From the entrance, the poetry and the authenticity of the place are striking. The kitchen has kept all its charm and time seems to have stopped there. On the first floor, the magnificent French ceilings are entirely painted.
