The Romanesque cathedral dedicated to Saint-Lizier is remarkable for its apse made up of a multitude of Gallo-Roman reuses.

It owes its notoriety above all to its exceptional set of Romanesque frescoes dated between 1060 and 1080. These are the first great Romanesque paintings to have come down to us for the Pyrenean region.
